Delicious Recipe for Making Orange BBQ Sauce

Sauces are great things to involve your kids with when you are cooking. They can measure, pour, and weigh ingredients under your guidance. And orange juice, an ingredient they are very familiar with, is a great taste enhancer for beef, pork and fowl.

4 cups Ketchup

1 cup mustard

1 cup Minute Maid orange juice

1 large minced onion

½ cup of brown sugar

4 garlic cloves, minced

4 teaspoons of liquid smoke (optional)

2 teaspoons of ground pepper

1 teaspoon of cayenne or enough to suit

Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan and simmer for 30 minutes. Store for up to a week. Use it to baste pork, poultry or beef. Remember; don’t brush on your BBQ sauce until the last five minutes or so of cooking.
